杨涵墨

I am currently a Lazear-Liang postdoctoral scholar at Stanford Graduate School of Business and Stanford Center on China's Economy and Institutions (SCCEI). Prior to joining Stanford, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, China Health Partnership.

I primarily conduct policy-oriented empirical research, focusing on how various interventions interact with incentives and their roles in shaping a wide-range of health, population, and socio-economic outcomes. My research centers on three interconnected themes: (i) fertility, (ii) health system and hospital incentives, and (iii) population aging and elderly care.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics from the National School of Development, Peking University in 2022 and received an MPA from New York University in 2017.

I am on the 2024-2025 job market and will be presenting at the ASSA Annual Meeting (Jan. 2025) and the Asian Workshop on Econometric and Health Economics (Dec. 2024).
